Foundation for End of Life Care

Juneau, Alaska resident Bruce Weyhrauch has over three decades of experience practicing law. The Law Office of Bruce B. Weyhrauch, LLC emphasizes law related to regulatory agency, government affairs, nonprofits, natural resources, and fisheries. Mr. Weyhrauch is an active member of his community and serves on the boards of directors for numerous organizations including the Foundation for End of Life Care.

The Foundation for End of Life Care is a nonprofit organization that supports end of life services in Juneau and surrounding Southeast Alaska communities. The Foundation provides community education and financial grants for hospice and bereavement services.

Established in 1997, the Foundation for End of Life Care has provided a number of direct and start-up grants as well as matching grants for fundraising efforts. Initially, the Foundation primarily supported Hospice and Home Care of Juneau but has been expanded to support a wide variety of organizations that deal with terminal patient care and education of the public and medical profession on end of life matters. The Foundation’s end of life services are supported through the Juneau Community Foundation’s dedication to investing funds to help support charitable efforts in Juneau.

A respected lawyer, Bruce Weyhrauch has practiced law though his own law office in Juneau, Alaska, for nearly three decades. His regulatory and government affairs-focused practice handles a wide variety of matters, including labor relations and natural resources. Bruce Weyhrauch has held positions with the Juneau Port Authority, the Juneau Economic Development Council, and the City and Borough of Juneau Board of Equalization. An Eagle Scout, Bruce Weyhrauch has served as a Cubmaster, Den Leader, Troop Committee Chair, Scout Unit Charter Representative, and on the Southeast Alaska Council Executive Board. After receiving his BS in natural resource planning and engineering from Humboldt State University, Mr. Weyhrauch matriculated at the Northwestern School of Law of Lewis and Clark College, where he served as the editor-in-chief of Environmental Law. His publications during this period include “Operation Exodus: The United States Government’s Program to Intercept Illegal Export of High Technology” (Computer Law Journal, 1986). Maintaining an active presence in his community, Mr. Weyhrauch serves on the Board of the Foundation for End-of-Life Care, Inc. He has also served as an officer or director on the Board of Directors of the Foundation For End of Life Care, Inc.,Chapel-by-the-Lake, Inc., Rotary International, Juneau Shooting Sports Foundation, Inc, Juneau Economic Development Council, Big Brothers/Big Sisters Board of Directors, and the AWARE Women’s Shelter.
